Solve these problems by attending our harmonica workshops designed to support all skills levels. From beginners to experienced players – we will work together to enhance your playing, help you meet your potential and connect with other dedicated and passionate members of our harmonica community.
Offering value for money – and for less than the cost of a new harmonica – two experienced educators will deliver an interactive, hands-on experience that explores a range harmonica topics over three hours, including:
- Instructions and workshop built for all skills levels – whether you are a brand-new player or have been playing for many years;
- Learn how to conquer fundamental techniques such as positions and scales – which harmonica do we pick up when playing with other musician;
- How to hold a harmonica, bend a note, and use your hands and mouth to get the best sound… tricks and techniques experienced players use to improve their tone;
- Best approaches to cleaning, maintaining and making sure you get the best out of your instrument for many years;
- Learn songs to play and licks to practice and perfect
- Immediately apply your brand new understanding in an open jam session at the end of the workshop

Meet the Presenters

Aaron Gillett
Blues Harmonica Player & Educator
Aaron Gillett is a Melbourne-based blues harmonica player, educator, and the founder of Blind Owl Harmonicas. With over 15 years of professional experience performing and teaching the blues harp – including duo work with Troy Wilson and his band the Windsavers – Aaron also repairs and modifies harmonicas professionally, giving him a rare technical insight into the instrument that elevates everything he teaches.

Matthew “Whalebone” White
Blues Harmonica Player & Educator
Matthew “Whalebone” White is a Melbourne-based blues harmonica player and educator who has been immersed in the blues for more than 15 years. As one half of Wilson & White – a popular acoustic and electric blues duo known for their authentic juke-joint sound – Matthew performs classic Chicago blues and stomps at venues across Victoria, bringing that same raw feel-for-the-music directly into the workshop room.
